TYPHOON TIFF BLOWS RIVALS AWAY IN GROUP ONE FINAL

Classy filly Typhoon Tiff added to her impressive career record when she won the $100,000 Group 1  Westbred 3yo fillies final at Gloucester Park this Friday past. The daughter of Bettor’s Delight was able to control the tempo in the key feature race and sprinted home in 56 seconds to claim the prize. Typhoon Tiff was bred by long time WA breeders Colleen and Trevor Lindsay and handled by trainer reinsman Colin Brown. Congratulations to all concerned.

Bettor’s Delight was seen to advantage in both the New South Wales and Victorian state bred schemes this past week. In Victoria, his 3yo progeny won Vicbred heats at Kilmore, amongst the winners where Two Times Bettor, Brevity and Demon Delight.

At Menangle, top flight 3yo Max’s Delight won his 3yo semi-final in clinical fashion and War Dan won his 4yo semi-final also. Gun sire American Ideal’s ace Tasmania daughter Ideal Bliss won the $50,000 4yo Granny Smith final at Devonport. This was her 11th career win and she has $117,000 in stake earnings. At Auckland,

American Ideal sired a double when his 2yo son’s Tommy Lincoln and Ideal Agent greeted the judge against their older rivals, at Ballarat Ideal Conquest paced 1.53 and change to defeat his rivals, Bet America was an all the way winner at Warrugal and at Menangle, the Matt Day bred Miss Halfpenny won her 3yo NSW Breeders Challenge semi- final and now has over $215,000 in career earnings.

Sweet Lou’s ace juvenile son Kohanah was an easy winner of the 2yo Sweepstakes final for the lads in Hobart. In his debut season, he has won four races and is easily Tasmania’s best juvenile.

BETTOR’S DELIGHT’S JUVENILES GREAT SEASON CONTINUES

Bettor’s Delight’s juvenile crop for the 2018/19 season are having a very productive race track season in Australia. At Menangle his progeny won two semi finals of the Breeders Challenge in impressive fashion.

Top flight pacer Jilliby Nitro recorded career win number six when he led all the way in his semi-final. He paced the mile in 1.52.3 and now his seasonal earnings of $234,000.

In the filly’s division, A Rainbow Delight paced 1.54.5 to win her semi-final and looks a clear player heading into the Breeders Challenge finals.

In Victoria, classy 2yo filly Jemstone won a heat of her 2yo Vicbred 2yo fillies division. American Ideal’s ace son, Ideal Liner make it five wins on the bounce with another Gloucester Park victory, he is headed towards much bigger things. The Texan Ranger roared home to win his heat of the 3yo Breeders Challenge at Menangle, the son of American Ideal is shaping into a nice pacer.

Other good winners for American Ideal included Alpha Charlie at Melton, Yankee CJ won at Horsham and Intheskyrocket paced a closing half in 56 and change to score in her 2yo race at Gloucester Park.

Sweet Lou’s son Kohanah made it career win number three when he scored at Hobart by 15 metres and resident trotting sire Pegasus Spur had good winners in Trotting Rockstar at Kilmore and Mr Fahrenheit won at Addington.

BETTOR’S WISH CLINICAL IN ART ROONEY PACE

The feature racing is ramping up in North America and this Saturday past, Bettor’s Delight’s high quality 3yo son Bettor’s Wish put on a pacing display to win the $300,000 ‘Art Rooney Pace’ at Yonkers Raceway. Bettor’s Wish paced a season best 1.51.4 to destroy his rivals by six lengths! He is now undefeated this season in three starts and heads to Canada now for the North America Cup. The race saw trainer Chris Ryder and Dexter Dunn combine to win the race to give a real ‘down under’ flavour to the race.

Closer to home, Bettor’s Delight added two square gating Group 2 winners to his CV. At Menangle, Emerald Stride won the NSW Trotters for 3yo’s in a great driving display by David Miles and Drop The Hammer scorched around Menangle in 1.55.5 to win the 4&5yo NSW Trotters feature.

American Ideal’s top flight son Centenario was impressive in the 3yo Classic at Ballarat, he paced 1.53 and change to defeat his peers and now has over $325,000 in the locker. Pelosi, just might be the best 2yo filly in Australia, she was an effortless winner of her NSW Breeders Challenge at Newcastle, she won under a grip! Other good winners for American Ideal included Ideal Liner at Pinjarra, Just Deal It at Albion Park and 2yo Tommy Lincoln was impressive winning at Auckland against the older pacers.

Sweet Lou’s ace Western Australian daughter Double Expresso recorded career win number six when she led all the way to win her 2yo Diamonds heat at Gloucester Park, she is close to $100,000 in earnings in her juvenile season.

BETTOR’S DELIGHT’S KIDS KEEP KICKING GOALS

Champion stallion Bettor’s Delight’s current two year old crop continued a memorable season thus far with victories in two New Zealand feature races at Addington. In the Sires Stakes final for 2yo colts and geldings his son One Change won a stirring final!

One Change remains undefeated in his juvenile season following his latest victory and has earnt over $212,000 thus far this season. He led in a Woodlands sired trifecta on the race, with Flyin Even Bettor (Bettor’s Delight) finishing second and Virgil (Sweet Lou) claiming third spot. The race was won in a New Zealand record for 2yo’s in 1.53.4.

In the PGG Wrightson 2yo fillies final, diminutive filly Amazing Dream won the $150,000 sale series final. Pacing a 1.54.9 race she defeated her rivals by 3 ½ lengths and now has $190,000 in the locker.

American Ideal continues to be a rich source of winners the length and breath of Australia. Yankee Lincoln won at Ballarat, Ideal Fantasy at Wagga Wagga, American Princess won impressively at Menangle, Prince Potter won on the border at Albury, American Tour at Mildura and Ideal Some Magic continued on his winning way at Bendigo.

Pegasus Spur’s daughter I Am Pegasus continued her great form with another victory at Melton, the 3yo filly looks a standout in her peer group in Victoria, other good winners for Pegasus Spur included Pretty Little Lucy at Ballarat and Lukyanova at Cambridge.

Sweet Lou added another winner to his first ‘down under’ crop when Sweet Madison led all the way at Gloucester Park. The filly became his 8th winner in Australasia!

WOODLANDS STALLIONS LIGHT UP ALBION PARK ON GOLD NIGHT

The focus for juvenile racing turned to Albion Park, this week past and the $350,000 Australian Pacing Gold finals for the 2yo colts and geldings and the fillies also. It was a night out for our stallion roster with both American Ideal and Bettor’s Delight claiming both features.

American Ideal has a genuine star in daughter ‘Pelosi’. She emerged victorious after sitting in the chair to win the 2yo fillies final. ‘Pelosi’ now has over $166,000 in seasonal earnings and has won four of her five career starts!

Bettor’s Delight’s ace son Jilliby Nitro led all the way to claim the colts and gelding’s division. Punishing his rivals in 1.52.6, he is now a multiple Group 1 winning freshman as he also claimed the Bathurst Gold Crown. He now has $210,000 in the locker and now looks to other key features. Congratulations to all, involved in both these star juvenile pacers!

At Addington, Belle Of Montana backed up her up Victorian Oaks winning raid with a comprehensive victory in the $140,000 Nevele R Fillies final for the 3yo’s. Belle Of Montana returned a 1.54.2-mile rate for the 1980 metre feature which is now a New Zealand record!

SWEET LOU’S DAUGHTER ANNEXES GROUP 1 FEATURE

Sweet Lou’s ace New Zealand daughter Sweet On Me bounced back from her first defeat to win the Group 1 New Zealand Sires Stakes for 2yo fillies at Alexandra Park, Auckland. In the $138,000 feature, she used her speed to take over mid race and roared away in a closing quarter of 26.8 to secure victory. Sweet on Me is the standout filly of her peer group thus far and now heads to the Harness Jewels at Addington, she has bankrolled over $170,000 in stakes.

Bettor’s Delight’s millionaire son Spankem added to his outstanding 4yo season when he led all the way to win the Group 1 ‘Messenger Stakes’ at Auckland. Scooting home in 54.3, Spankem has been a revelation this season and will be nominal favourite for horse of the year in New Zealand.

Bettor’s Delight’s progeny filled the placings in the $160,000 PGG Wrightson 2yo Sale Series Final at Addington. One Change maintained his undefeated juvenile season when he won the feature ahead of Smooth Deal.

No shortage of winners for American Ideal, he sired a double at Invercargill when Firenze Amore and 2yo The Ideal Touch greeted the judge, American Zest was a Melton winner, Triple Eight sat in the chair to win at Auckland and Ideal Some Magic, continued on his winning way at Bendigo.

Legendary stallion Bettor’s Delight continued his domination on both sides of the Tasman this week past with three Group 1 winners added to his CV. At Auckland his juvenile daughter Amazing Dream was a winner of the Caduceus Club fillies classic. In the $100,000 feature, she prevailed in a tight finish. On the same card Spankem became harness racings latest millionaire when he led all the way in the ‘Downbytheseaside’ Taylor mile. The son of Bettor’s Delight looks ahead now to the Messenger Stakes.

At Melton, ace filly Belle Of Montana was an impressive winner of the $150,000 Victorian Oaks. In a strong staying test, in the Group 1 feature, Belle Of Montana roared away to defeat her rivals, she now has over $250,000 in career earnings. Congratulations to all these Group 1 winners!

American Ideal’s daughter Pelosi dismantled her opposition in her Australian Pacing Gold heat at Albion Park. She careered away to win by 23 metres in a staggering 1.53.3, this is now a record for 2yo fillies at Albion Park. Other good winners for American Ideal included Balcatherine who was an impressive WA Oaks prelude winner, The Ideal Dancer won at Bankstown, Ideal Charm at Narrogin, Southern Rain at Invercargill and Nearis Green at Timaru.

Sweet Lou’s son Virgil was rewarded for his consistent form when he won the Group 2 Diamond Creek classic at Invercargill. With seasonal earnings of over $60,000 the Woodlands bred and raised juvenile has plied his trade with little fuss in both the south and north islands of the ‘shaky isles’!

MIGHTY CONQUEROR GETS THE CHOCOLATES IN TH EASTER CUP

American Ideal’s ace 4yo son Mighty Conqueror added to his burgeoning reputation when he won the $50,000 Easter Cup at Gloucester Park. Overcoming a 20 metre handicap, he was to tough for his rivals in the staying feature over 2902 metres. Mighty Conqueror is now the winner of 12 of his 17 career starts, with prizemoney earnings of close to $156,000! There is little doubt he will be a key player in many WA race features going forward.

Other good winners for American Ideal this past week included Ideal Velocity at Echuca, Chief Joseph at Bunbury, Roman Reigns at Wagin and Ideal Tiger was a Cambridge winner.

The Sires Sire Bettor’s Delight was dominate on both sides of the ditch this week, with a plethora of winners. Bad To The Bone, won his 2yo sire’s stakes heat at Cambridge, Ashley Locaz raced passed $250,000 in career earnings with an impressive Addington victory, at Melton he sired a double when Belle Of Montana won her Victorian Oaks in barnstorming fashion and Lilac Flash showed great closing speed to secure victory on the same card.
