BETTOR’S WISH CLINICAL IN ART ROONEY PACE

The feature racing is ramping up in North America and this Saturday past, Bettor’s Delight’s high quality 3yo son Bettor’s Wish put on a pacing display to win the $300,000 ‘Art Rooney Pace’ at Yonkers Raceway. Bettor’s Wish paced a season best 1.51.4 to destroy his rivals by six lengths! He is now undefeated this season in three starts and heads to Canada now for the North America Cup. The race saw trainer Chris Ryder and Dexter Dunn combine to win the race to give a real ‘down under’ flavour to the race.

Closer to home, Bettor’s Delight added two square gating Group 2 winners to his CV. At Menangle, Emerald Stride won the NSW Trotters for 3yo’s in a great driving display by David Miles and Drop The Hammer scorched around Menangle in 1.55.5 to win the 4&5yo NSW Trotters feature.

American Ideal’s top flight son Centenario was impressive in the 3yo Classic at Ballarat, he paced 1.53 and change to defeat his peers and now has over $325,000 in the locker. Pelosi, just might be the best 2yo filly in Australia, she was an effortless winner of her NSW Breeders Challenge at Newcastle, she won under a grip! Other good winners for American Ideal included Ideal Liner at Pinjarra, Just Deal It at Albion Park and 2yo Tommy Lincoln was impressive winning at Auckland against the older pacers.

Sweet Lou’s ace Western Australian daughter Double Expresso recorded career win number six when she led all the way to win her 2yo Diamonds heat at Gloucester Park, she is close to $100,000 in earnings in her juvenile season.
