BETTORS DELIGHT’S BIG MIRACLE MILE NIGHT
/Champion stallion Bettor’s Delight once again cast a big shadow over Menangle where his progeny dominated key feature races on New South Wales night of nights in harness racing! Spankem showed scintillating speed to win the Miracle Mile in 1.47.7, he rushed home in 25.4 to defeat stable mate Thefixer, which saw Bettor’s Delight quinella Australasia’s fastest speed test. Spankem now has over $900,000 in earnings in the locker!
Star mare Dream About Me, leaves the race track on the best note, following a dominant display in the Ladyship Mile. Pacing a mile in 1.50 and change, she led her rivals a merry dance. Dream About Me leaves racing a 11-time group one winner and retires with $1.4 million in the locker, she has been a star.
Max Delight completed a Group 1 treble for Bettor’s Delight when he won the NSW Derby. Driven a treat by Todd McCarthy, Max Delight stalked the leaders off a hot speed to win the feature in 1.51.5 for the 2400 metre feature.
Bettor’s Delight completed a big weekend when he sired the Great Northern Oaks winner in Best Western at Auckland. Taking all the short cuts, she saluted in a great drive by Sailesh Abernethy. Congratulations to trainer Jeremy Young and Woodlands Stud principal Andrew Grierson who bred Best Western.
Big day out for our stallions at the Australian Pacing Gold sale in Sydney. Progeny by our stallions American Ideal, Bettor’s Delight and Sweet Lou led the way during the sale, which was a great result for those who are breeding to our stallion roster!
