SWEET LOU’S BABY GIRL’S GETTING IT DONE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DITCH
/Sweet Lou’s impact ‘down under’ has been very swift. He currently is the sire of the two best fillies on both sides of the Tasman. At Auckland, his daughter Sweet On Me underlined her currency as New Zealand’s best juvenile filly when she sat in the chair to win the $75,000 Delightful Lady Classic. Returning a mile rate of 1.56.4, she was simply to classy for her rivals, she remains undefeated and the world is her oyster!
At Gloucester Park, stunning filly Double Expresso remains unbeaten also following victory in the $100,000 WA Sales Classic final. The daughter of Sweet Lou returned a mile rate of 1.55.7 in the feature, a second quicker than her male counterparts! Congratulations to those involved with both fillies.
Bettor’s Delight continued his great run of success this week past. At Auckland, top flight 3yo Ultimate Sniper won the Group 1 Great Northern Derby, when he led from start to finish, on the same card the Woodlands bred and raised Smooth Deal won the Cardigan Bay Young Guns for the 2yo colts and geldings, the second place getter Virgil by Sweet Lou, gave owner Jean Feiss a quinella on the race, both 2yo’s where selected by Jean from our Woodlands 2018 yearling draft!
At Melton, on Need For Speed night, square gaiter Emerald Stride, gave David Miles a Group 1 victory. The daughter of Bettor’s Delight now has over $100,000 in the locker!
Pegasus Spur’s progeny had a good week with Quietly Spoken claiming a new track record at Albion Park, she trotted 1.55.7 for the 1660 metre journey, she now has over $100,000 in the locker and Celtic Thunder was a winner at Auckland.
