There is no hotter standardbred in Australia at the moment than Bettor’s Delight’s son Tiger Tara. His win in the Group 2 Renshaw Cup at Penrith was breath taking. Tiger Tara obliterated Smolda’s 2525 metre track record by 1.5 seconds. The mile rate was 1.55.2 for the journey. This took his earnings to nearly $850,000!
At Melton, Bettor’s Delight 2yo freshman daughters Saphirque and Passion’s Delight where classy winners of their respective Australian Pacing Gold heats giving trainer Nicole Molander and US based owners Marc Hanover and Gordon Banks a winning double.
At Launceston, ace pacer Pachacuti was a tough winner of the Easter Cup at Launceston, coming off a 40-metre handicap he simply outstayed his rivals. The victory saw his earnings go past $300,000. At Ararat, Bettor Downunder sat parked to win the Ararat Cup, she now has over $100,000 in the locker. American Ideal’s 2yo’s keep winning and at Menangle, Maximus Red showed a clean pair of heels to win his Australian Pacing Gold heat in 1.57.1.
Other good winners for American Ideal included Sands of Time at Kilmore, at Forbury Park he sired a double when Sweet As and Idealistic Lass saluted the judge and Jamieson Shard was a winner at Hawera.
Top trotting sire Pegasus Spur’s daughter Arannalea was an impressive debut winner at Cranbourne, she gapped her rivals by eighteen metres, at Redcliffe Scorched was an easy winner and Aunty Jan got the Easter chocolates at Hawera.
