MORE THAN A MIRACLE

BETTOR'S DELIGHT and his progeny made their presence known in the $1 million Garrards Miracle Mile at Menangle on Saturday night, not just by having five of the eight runners but also by taking home the winning trifecta in style.

The race was taken out by harness racing's newest champion LEAP TO FAME (Art Major dam) who brought up his 35th win in the Group 1 event. Behind him was the consistent New Zealand performer Sooner The Bettor (In The Pocket dam) and the Group 1 winner from a week earlier in Speak The Truth (Art Major dam). β€˜Larry’ as Leap To Fame is affectionately known, has now won over $2.7 million. Congratulations to his connections including breeders Redbank Lodge Standardbreds.

Bettor's Delight scored a siring double when he also sired the quinella of the mares race on the card with MANHATTAN (Mach Three dam) breaking 1:50 to win her Australian debut in 1:49.9. Braeview Kelly (American Ideal dam) filled the second spot.
