IDEAL RESULTS AT PERTH YEARLING SALE

The APG yearling sale results from Perth on the weekend provided a little bit of tonic for everyone after the tragic passing of American Ideal in January. His progeny were all very sought after with a 100% clearance rate and an average price of over $77,000. He ended up siring the top two lots of the sale and five of his seven lots were in the top 12 lots of the day.

The top lot was a colt out of the 12-win Christian Cullen mare Anna Faye, he was offered by Karnup Racing Pty Ltd and purchased by Justin Prentice, this vendor-buyer result was the same duo for the second highest lot for the day, another colt by American Ideal but this one out of the well-related Somebeachsomewhere mare Coopers Beach, he sold for $130,000.

The top filly of the sale was by none other than our exciting sire Sweet Lou. She is out of the strong producing Rich And Spoilt mare Here For The Money making this filly a full-sister to star performer Double Expresso and a half-sister to Shockwave. She was consigned by KTC Bloodstock and was the third highest price for the day, being purchased for $110,000 by Summit Bloodstock and Aaron Bain Racing.
