Sweet Lou is a sire who is continuing to make a huge impact on harness racing across both the North and South hemispheres. His progeny are getting results at all levels and rewarding those who have supported him and his progeny. He is the leading sire of 3-year-old's in Australia on stakes as well as leading sire of 2-year-olds on individual winners and second on stakes. In the last 10 days he has continued on with his fantastic streak of results with 22 winners across Australasia, and he even sired a milestone number and a track record breaker. See his main highlights below:
250 NEW ZEALAND BRED WINNERS
The Wairio meeting on Saturday saw Sweet Lou bring up his 250th New Zealand bred winner when JONJONDAGOOSEHASGONE (Washington VC dam) picked up his maiden victory at his third start. He was bred by James Paddon who remains in his ownership. Nathan Williamson did the training and driving. The 4-year-old gelding headed home a Woodlands Sired first five in the race.

DON LOU (Life Sign dam) took out the $60,000 Goulburn Soldiers Club Merino Cup on Sunday, winning by over six metres in a mile rate of 1:56.3 for the 2760m race, more than five seconds faster than the previous record set in 2016. The 5-year-old gelding was bred by Harshell Investments Pty Ltd and is trained and was driven by Seaton Grima (Grima Racing) for his two owners.
The win also brought up a double for SWEET LOU with his talented daughter and NSW Oaks contender MILLWOOD BLISS (Bettor's Delight dam) also winning at the meeting.
FIVE FROM FIVE IN AUSTRALIA
NO HEART THROB (Bettor's Delight dam) picked up his fifth win in a row from just six career starts to date when winning at Menangle on Saturday. It was the 4-year-old's fastest time, pacing the mile in 1:50.8 to win by over seven metres. He was bred by Birchbrook Breeding in New Zealand and was purchased by Michael Boots of Boots Properties Racing, who has been achieving plenty of success with all of his Sweet Lou progeny on both sides of the Tasman. Congratulations to them and also to trainer/driver Jack Trainor.
