/Bettor’s Delight’s 2yo’s had a night out on Bathurst Gold Crown with both divisions of the time-honoured features won in style by his progeny. Boom colt Jilliby Nitro was a dominate winner of the colts and gelding’s division. He led from the outside of the arm, copped mid race pressure but was still dominant in his Group 1 victory. Now undefeated in three starts, Jilliby Nitro is a clear standout amongst his peers this season.
Michelle Lee Mac was all class in her Group 1 Gold Tiara final win. She held on in a tight finish, to claim her third juvenile victory this season and the lion’s share of the $100,000 in stakes! Congratulations to both these winners and those associated with them!
Henry Hubert looks like he will a key player in NZ features going forward, following a stunning victory in the Group 2 Superstars at Addington. Bred and raised on the farm at Woodlands, the son of Bettor’s Delight has been a revelation during his 4yo season.
Pegasus Spur still churns out the winners. His son Monty Python was a winner of the Group 3 Horsham trotters cup, Scorched was an Albion Park winner and Mr Fahrenheit scored at Forbury Park.
Highview Tommy added another winner to his book, when Glen Elgin Tomson sprouted wings to win at Methven on the grass!
