SPEEDING SPUR RESUMES IN STYLE  

Gun squaregaiter Speeding Spur resumed in style with a first up victory at Auckland this week past. Overcoming a 50 metre handicap the son of Pegasus Spur showed great closing speed to defeat his rivals, it was a great drive by Josh Dickie. This was career win number 22 and he now has over $888,000 in career earnings. Once again he looks like being a major player in all the key features this season.

American Ideal’s son American History continued his stellar season with victory in the $250,000 Kentucky sires stakes for 3yo’s when he posted a 1.48.1 mile at the Red Mile. He now has career earnings of over $472,000 and this was his seventh victory for the season. Other good winners for American Ideal included Flying Mister Ideal at Addington, Pay Me Overs at Newcastle and Goodtime Slater at Menangle.

Champion stallion Bettor’s Delight posted a treble at Newcastle where Derringer, Styx Vixen and Highview Freddy greeted the judge, English Rose was a winner at Auckland, the Woodlands bred and raised Ideal Pleasure paced 1.52.2 to win at Menangle and at Addington, Bettor’s Delight sired a double when Scarlett Banner and Global Domination recorded victories.
