SWEET LOU ‘DOWN UNDER’ BOOK FULL AND CLOSED

Woodlands Stud is proud to announce that Sweet Lou’s Australian and New Zealand book is closed for this current season. We would like to thank all breeders across both countries for supporting ‘The Great White Blaze’! His recent run of great winners in the USA continued with Lyons Night Hawk winning a division of the ‘Blue Grass’ at The Red Mile in 1.50.2, he has banked over $136,000 in his freshmen season. Sweet Lou now has earnings close to $2,000,000 in his debut season as a sire.

The annual New Zealand harness racing awards were held in Auckland this Saturday past and the Woodlands Stallions enjoyed success. Bettor’s Delight was New Zealand stallion of the year, his son Lazarus was named Horse of the year and also took pacer of the year accolades. Another Masterpiece, Ultimate Machete and classy mare Utmost Delight all won their respective horse of the year categories’ giving Bettor’s Delight a big night out!

Pegasus’s Spurs son Speeding Spur was named New Zealand trotter of the year and 5yo and older trotter of the year also. Congratulations to all winners on this prestigious industry night.
