WOODLANDS STUD PRESENTS A QUALITY DRAFT

The annual weanling and all age sale is being held on Friday at Karaka. Woodlands Stud have a quality draft of 76 lots going through the ring. There is something for everyone. The Woodlands Stud stallions took centre stage at Alexandra Park on Friday night, siring half of the card between them. Pegasus Spur sired two winners with Megamind and Puma Road both trotting to solid victories. Ivana Flybye won in a mile rate of 1.55.1 for American Ideal and Bettor’s Delight had good winners in Solid Gold and Jack Nicholson.

Bettor’s Delight also had a solid week everywhere else with plenty of winners in both Australia and New Zealand. He got a treble at Addington when Tennyson Bromac, Tyron Bettor’s Ella and Star’s Tonight all won. The latter was bred and raised by Woodlands Stud. Other winners included Smooth Delight and Bobbies Delight at Globe Derby and two good trotting winners in Light Year Franco at Rangiora and Emerald Stride at Menangle.

American Ideal sired plenty of winners, including a treble at Manawatu when Yankee Diva, Apocalypse and Mogul all winning. Pay Me Overs won well at Penrith, Miss Halfpenny won at Newcastle and Mighty American greeted the judge at Addington.
