/Star New Zealand mare The Orange Agent bought her ‘A game’ to Melton on Saturday night and despatched the best Victorian mares on offer in the Group 3 Make Mine Cullen. The daughter of American Ideal was untouched to win in 1.53.9 for the 1720 metre journey. She now has over $650,000 in stake earnings and is clearly the best mare racing ‘down under’ at the moment. American Ideal’s 2yo’s are certainly up and about in Australia, Run Wick provided him with his 7th individual winner from only 14 starters when he won on debut at Devonport.
Other good winners included Ideal Scott who recorded career win number 20 at Albion Park and American Ideal top and tailed the meeting at Rangiora with Sweet As and Bontz greeting the judge. Bettor’s Delight’s 2yo daughter War Dan Bad Girl was a winner of the Group 2 Australian Pacing Gold consolation at Melton, in the $50,000 race she showed a good turn of foot.
Bettor Bet Black was a winner of the Group 3 Newcastle Mile. The 9yo warrior now has $420,000 in the locker, it was his 28th career win. Trotting stallion Pegasus Spur sired a double at Auckland when I’m Just Awesome and Amanda’s Spur where good winners, Celtic Thunder cleared maiden ranks with victory at Addington and Brynmor made it back to back wins at Maryborough.
