BETTOR’S PROGENY LIGHT UP JUG WEEK

World champion stallion, Bettor’s Delight continues to set the trend wherever his progeny race and during Little Brown Jug week at Delaware his 3yo’s took home both key features. Top flight filly L A Delight was a winner of the $239,400 Jugette in 1.51.3. Now a millionaire pacer, L A Delight added the 46th Jugette to her burgeoning CV.

Betting Line was a winner of the 71st Little Brown Jug. The star pacer equalled the world record for a half mile track when he paced 1.49. Betting Line extended his current race streak to thirteen and has banked $1.37 million so far in 2016.

Closer to home other good winners for Bettor’s Delight included Gotta Have Faith who won the 3yo Sires Stakes heat at Addington, Mark Dennis won at Globe Derby and Yackandandah was a Ballarat winner.

Stateside, the rise of American Ideal continues unabated. At Yonkers raceway his 2yo ‘kids’ won both divisions of the $225,000 New York Sires Finals. Funknwaffles paced a track record 1.52.3 to win the 2yo colts and geldings division, he has had a super juvenile season, winning eight of nine career starts and banking over $250,000 in stakes. In the fillies division Tequilla Monday made it career win number four when she paced 1.55. For American Ideal, these classic winners saw him reached third on the sires list in North America. Its rarefied air for the boy but so richly deserved.
