THE RISE OF AMERICAN IDEAL CONTINUES
/American Ideal is now clearly a very successful dual hemisphere stallion. In North America this season, he is now fourth on the All Aged stallion list and has over taken many of his contemporaries in recent times including Art Major and now Rock N Roll Hanover. A similar theme is happening ‘down under’ with not a week going past where he doesn’t leave some very good winners.
This week past he had winners in classy mare Start Dreaming who now has bankrolled over $170,000 with her recent Auckland victory, American Double smashed his rivals at Kilmore by twenty-five metres and in North America, his two top flight sons Funknwaffles and Pointomygranson where both strong winners of their Sires Stakes 2YO divisions at Yonkers.
Plenty of winners for Bettor’s Delight including a treble at Invercargill with Highview Illusion, Vera’s Delight and Sovereign Banner all winning, Bettor Downunder scored at Ballarat and Jack’s Legend won on debut at Auckland.
Congratulations to Pegasus Spur’s daughter Maori Time who was named Australian Aged Trotting Mare of the Year for the 2015/16 season. She took a lifetime mark of 1.54.2 during the season and continues to race well against all comers. Pegasus Spur may have another talented 3YO on the horizon with C K Spur a fresh up winner at Auckland for top trainer John Dickie.
