TIGER TARA BURNS BRIGHT IN 2018 INTER DOMINION FINAL

Star pacer Tiger Tara added to his great record when he was an all the way winner in the 2018 Inter Dominion final at Melton. Taking no prisoners from the start, he pounced on the lead and then controlled the race, to smash the track record once held by many top-flight pacers nemesis Lazarus. Tiger Tara paced the 2670 metre journey in a mile rate of 1.53.9! The son of Bettors Delight scooted away to win by 14 metres. With the lions share of the $500,000 feature stake monies, Tiger Tara is now closing in on $2,000,000 in career earnings. Congratulations to all those associated with this great horse!

Out west, the $200,000 Group 1 Gold Nugget was taken out by Bettor’s Delight’s son Ana Malik. The 4yo classic held at Gloucester Park, saw Ana Malik record career win number seven from only nine career starts, he now has career earnings of over $237,000. The Woodlands stallions quinelled the race with American Ideal’s son Mighty Conqueror a massive run after sitting in the chair.

At Auckland, ‘down under’s’ best mare Dream About Me was an impressive winner of the Group 1 ‘Queen Of Hearts’. The daughter of Bettor’s Delight now has career earnings of $1.2 million.

Woodlands Stud would like to wish all harness racing participants a great Christmas and lots of winners in 2019.
