SWEET LOU OFF TO A BLAZING START
/Champion pacer Sweet Lou has begun his siring career in North America in fine style. At the end of July, he is the leading first season sire and is second overall on the USA 2yo sire’s list. Sweet Lou is holding more than his own against all the big gun sires! Both his son’s and daughters are winning races. Among his stunning first crop are She’s Allright whose undefeated in three starts, having taken a 1.52.2 mark, Warrawee Ubeat is a multiple winner in 1.52.2 and his son’s Pyro – 1.52.1 and Blood Money – 1.52.3 are likely types. From his first crop Sweet Lou has sired seventeen winners so far, with seven of those winners taking a 1.53 or bettor record!
Bettor’s Delight’s daughter Saphirique was a smart winner of the $50,000 Southern Cross fillies at Globe Derby, she won the feature race as a 2yo also, out west Chicago Bull took no prisoners in the Free For All at Gloucester Park, and Bettor’s Delight sired a double when Pachacuti and Match Point greeted the judge at Menangle.
Great to see quality American Ideal mare Takara Truffle back at the races, she was an impressive winner at Newcastle for Aaron Goadsby, other good winners for American Ideal included Mason’s Delight at Penrith, Resurgent Spirit was a Melton winner and Cruz got the cash at Ballarat.
