TIGER ROARS TO VICTORY IN VICTORIA CUP

Outstanding pacer Tiger Tara fired the first shot on the Grand Circuit when he led and the won the time-honoured Victoria Cup at Melton. Posting a 1.53.4 mile rate for the 2240 metre feature the son of Bettor’s Delight was simply too classy for his rivals. With earnings now in excess of $1.5 million, Tiger Tara is on track for a tilt at the New Zealand Cup. The race saw Bettor’s Delight quinelled the feature with Chicago Bull claiming second.

At Woodbine in Canada, Bettor’s Delight sired both the Ontario Sires Stakes gold winners for the rookie pacers. His daughter Summer Charm took the $225,000 final for the fairer sex in 1.52.6 and in the boy’s division his son Keystone Concrete led in a Bettor’s Delight sired trifecta in 1.52 flat! American Ideal had a good week out west where he sired a double at Northam with Miss Tivoli and Ohoka Ritchie greeting the judge and Show You The Stars was a Pinjarra winner.
