LIKE FATHER LIKE SON, BETTING LINE WINS NORTH AMERICAN CUP

Standout Canadian 3yo Betting Line confirmed his status as the best sophomore pacer with a stunning victory in the North American Cup at Mohawk. Driven with cover, he simply showed to much closing speed to win the $1,000,000 feature. Pacing a 1.47.4 mile he has now won over a million dollars in stakes. This victory was also a stakes, track and Canadian record for 3yo’s. For his sire, the great Bettor’s Delight it was his first son to win the feature, a race which also won as a 3yo.

At Albion Park, Bettor’s Delight’s 2yo son Maestro Bellini was a winner of the Qbred Group 2 feature for colts and geldings. Posting a 1.55 and change mile rate, he has been the standout 2yo this season thus far in the sunshine state.

Another big week for American Ideal with plenty of very impressive winners. Cruz was a first up winner at Cranbourne in the 2yo event. He did all the work in the chair and paced home in 57.1, Culler Coded won at Forbury Park, Twoforsixty won at Kilmore and War Dan Apollo scored at Bathurst. Top 4yo Ideal For Real remains unbeaten this preparation following his Vicbred win at Shepparton. Posting a half in 55 seconds, he will be a key player heading towards the Vicbred finals. American Ideal also produced another double out west at Gloucester Park when American Boy and The Spinster both recorded victories.

Pegasus Spur continues to be a rich source of winners with Wing Spur winning at Forbury Park and The Crown Jewels was a winner at Auckland. Please be advised that Bettor’s Delight’s book is closed in Australia and New Zealand for the 2016/17 season. We thank everybody for their support of the champion stallion.
