Charles Roberts

Andrew Grierson

In 1985, Andrew Grierson and Charles Roberts started Auckland Veterinary Centre, based in Takanini. The practice has the added advantage of being situated only 15 minutes from Woodlands Stud. Charles had been practicing in the area for many years before 1985 and is now retired from general practice after forty years in stud medicine. Not one to slow down he has taken on the day to day running of the Woodlands runoff Sandstone Rd farm with the energy of a man half his age. The practice is now owned outright by veterinarian Andrew Grierson with over thirty years experience in stud medicine. His other veterinary roles include Chief Veterinarian of HRNZ and NZTR advising on integrity and welfare of the racehorse, the NZRB representative on the NZ Equine Health Board, and chair of the NZ Equine Veterinary Association medication sub-committee.

Hadyn Jamieson

Catherine Pemberton

The equine vets Hadyn Jamieson and Catherine Pemberton are a pivotal part of the AVC team providing veterinary expertise to the broad client base, owners of ponies, eventers, dressage horses, racehorses, and broodmares. The practice contracts veterinary services for race duty at Alexander Park and until recently Avondale Jockey Club.
